At Taoutel Flavors & Fragrances, we are proud to carry forward a 120+ year-old legacy that began in 1902 in Syria, when our founders Antoine Louis Taoutel and his brother, started crafting essential oils and plant extracts using natural, time-tested methods.
Today, we are a fourth-generation, family-owned business, with our FDA-registered production facility in Canada and global operations based in Dubai since 2004. Our journey from Syria to France, Canada, and the UAE reflects our commitment to growth, quality, and resilience.

The Taoutel Story
A Fragrant Legacy Since 1902
Taoutel Group began in 1902 in Syria, when two brothers Antoine Louis Taoutel and his brother Bechir started making essential oils and herbal plant extracts using traditional methods and wild-grown ingredients.
We started our journey in the fields of roses in Aleppo, Syria, carefully handpicking petals to produce rose water and rose essential oil through traditional distillation. This was the heart of our early work pure, natural, and deeply rooted in our land.
As we grew, we expanded our expertise to distill a wide range of ingredients from the rich Mediterranean climate including Aleppo pine, cumin, laurel, fennel, sage, and more. Every drop was made with care and respect for nature.
Our oils were soon exported from Syria to France and across Europe, earning a reputation for purity, honesty, and real results. More than anything, we became known as a family brand, with trust and tradition passed down through generations.
Rebuilding with Strength
From Syria to Canada
Due to the unfortunate war in Syria, we had to make a difficult decision. In 2014, we moved our factory to Canada, establishing a new base for production at 149 Montee Allard, Saint-Jacques, QC J0K 2R0, Canada.
We brought with us over 100 years of experience and upgraded our processes to meet international standards. Our Canada factory is FDA-registered, ensuring full compliance and quality as per US regulations (U.S. FDA Reg. No. 12005693458).
